Generate Pick List for Multiple Sales Order

Generate Pick List for Multiple Sales Order

You may find it inefficient to create Pick Lists one by one directly from each Sales Order, especially when dealing with many Sales Orders. This approach is not only time-consuming, but also wasteful in terms of paper usage, as each Pick List contains items from only a single Sales Order.

SAP Business One provides a feature that allows you to generate Pick Lists for multiple Sales Orders at once, based on specific criteria. The steps are as follows:

  1. From the SAP Business One main menu, go to Inventory >Pick and Pack > Pick and Pack Production Manager.
  2. In the Pick and Pack Production Manager window, enter the Selection Criteria according to the Sales Order information you want to display (such as date, business partner, or specific warehouse).
  3. The system will then display a list of Sales Orders in the Open tab. Select the Sales Orders you want to generate Pick Lists for, then click “Release Pick List”

  4. The Pick List Generation Wizard window will appear:
    • STEP 1: specify whether the Pick List should be split based on the following parameters. Pick list will be split when the parameter values are different, and combined when the values are the same.
      • Business Partner: Pick Lists are split by Business Partner. Sales Orders from different customers will generate separate Pick Lists.
      • Document Type: Pick Lists are split by document type (Sales Order, Inventory Transfer Request, Production Order, or Reserve Invoice). If multiple document types are selected, separate Pick Lists will be created for each document type.
      • Document: Pick Lists are split by document. Each Sales Order will generate one Pick List (1 SO = 1 Pick List).
      • Item Group: Pick Lists are split by Item Group. Items with the same Item Group will be combined into one Pick List.
      • Item: Pick Lists are split by Item. The same items from multiple Sales Orders will be combined into one Pick List.
      • Warehouse: Pick Lists are split by warehouse. Items from the same warehouse will be combined into one Pick List.

If the pick list does not need to be split, leave all parameters unchecked and click “Next”.

    • STEP 2: The system will display a preview of the Pick List to be generated. Click Next to proceed.
    • STEP 3: Click the Generate button to create the pick list document.

Note: The number of steps in the Pick List Generation Wizard depends on the Bin Location configuration of the warehouse. If Bin Locations are enabled, the wizard will contain additional steps, used to select the Bin Location for issuing the items.

  5. The generated Pick Lists can be viewed in the Pick and Pack Production Manager, under the Released tab. Click on the golden arrow in the Pick No. column.
