SAP Business One (SAP B1) provides 1 special user account that can be used by authorized parties to provide support when users in your company experience difficulties and need assistance.
As of SAP Business One 10.0 FP 2502, administrators have the ability to activate the built-in Support User directly from the System Landscape Directory (SLD) control center. This streamlines the process for maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
Activation Steps
- Log in to the SLD Control Center: Access the System Landscape Directory using B1SiteUser.
- Navigate to DB Instances and Companies: Go to the DB Instances and Companies tab to view your company databases.
- Select Company: Select (check) one or more companies where you need to activate the Support User.
- Activate: Click the Activate Support User button.
- Confirm: A window will appear with a disclaimer. Read the information and click Activate to confirm.
- In the companies table, the Support User Status will change to Active. A countdown timer will appear showing the Remaining Session Time, starting at 4 hours.
Important Notes
- Session Timeout: The session timeout for the Support User is standardized to 4 hours. Once the countdown reaches zero, the user status automatically reverts to Inactive.
- Client Access: You can use the Support User account to log in to both the SAP Business One Client and the Web Client.
